I know this horse has been beaten but one of my friends thinks he will whip me on the lake with his clutched, piped, geared, and studded late 90's xc700. My t-cat is a 94 and is totally stock save for .430's instead of the stock .440 jets and a buttload of studs (288). We haven't met up on the lake yet. What's your opinion? Should I put 50 on me?

Thanks

He is getting his confidence in the fact that he can whip his 02 xc800 which is unmodded.

You are joking right?? dunno.gif The old 900 triples actually made about as much HP as most of the 1000's (diff. timing, porting, etc.). In a very short race he may beat you because of weight, hookup, etc. But in a longer run 1/4 mile and up - there is no replacement for displacement! ylsuper.gif m2c.gif xmas-smiley3.gif flag_canada.gif

I hope you have a 9 tower clutch, in 94, they had poor clutches. this could make all the difference in the world. you have him out powered, just make sure your getting all that power to the track. those 94 t-cats are great looking sleds........tigger
