Hey Guys,

I'm used to driving an 02 ZR600 EFI Cross Country and I'm thinking about getting an 01 ZR440 snopro l/c because the 600 is no more trau14.gif

Will I be disappointed? I don't know a whole lot about the snopro sleds. I've heard a LOT of good things about them and I pretty much want something to hit the trails with and do a little bit of racing (1/4 mile) on some dirt roads here and there.

I had a 98 zr 600 and have a 00 zr 440 snopro now. the horse power is very close like 100 for the 440 vs 106 for the 600.
440 will be quicker on the bottom end and handle better. lighter.

my 600 stock could creep up to 100. the snopro is geared to go about 85-90 and does realy well up to that.
gas milage is preaty rough. I get about 70 miles on a tank. takes alot of gas to make 100 horse in a 440.

you will need 93 octane gas or better.

440 motor is preaty good. high strung and finicky. little changes in temp and altitude WILL require jet changes. but it is set up to make maintaince easyer. air box pops off in about 2 seconds. i can change a jet in about 5 minuts vs 1 hr for my zrt.

After I got some bugs worked out of mine it works great. I love it. more fun than my 600 ever was.

Watch out for the snopro's they tend to be raced and abused to death. mine was clean but tired. a retired grass drag sled.

Hey thanks for the input.

Actually the gas milage is way better then any 600 I have ever seen on my 02 ZR440. I would go through a third less gas then my buddys 02 XC 600 and the same with my Dads 98 ZR 600 EFI and kick the crap out of them in any trail situation and from 0-90 and still get better milage. I think I could get around 120 miles to a tank of fuel, unless you have a small tank on it. The 02's came with 11 or 12 gallon tanks on them and came with low comp heads on them also along with oil injection. This was the last year AC did that.
