Saturday started ok pretty good. I live in Escanaba and we got about an inch on the ground here but i knew there was alot more up north so my and 2 other guys loaded up the trailer and truck to go. Gas statiions were fun, everyone thought we were strait up retarded because only the 2 inches in Escanaba. Buy anyhow we got to my camp about 20 miles south of munising and it was looking ok, about 4 inches on the ground.
We were skeptic about going but i knew there was more up north. We unloaded and made our way north more towards the buckhorn. Once we hit doe lake road, it was worth the ride! about 6-7 inches of snow, great first ride. First ones up trail 7. We came to the buckhorn but they didnt open till 2 so we decided to head to wetmore. Just kept getting better and better! Seen some tracks for a mile or 2 on trail 8 but that was it.
From wetmore we decided just to go more east down trail 8 to the bridge and just take a break there and chill and enjoy the snowfall coming down!
We then went up the trail somemore and took the trail to the left towards pictured rocks that crosses the railroad tracks and goes along side the highway for a bit and followed that for a bit but just turned around. On my way back over the tracks somehow my ski got caught in between the two tracks and tore my trailng arm right off. I still dont get why it did it. I tied it up and we limped it to the buckhorn. There we were the first ones of the snowmobile season to walk through the doors from snowmobiles they told us!
Then just headed back to camp down 7 the whole way. 108 miles total for saturday.
Sunday went up and my pops let me ride his and just took a trip to the buckhorn and back, great snow now. A little over 40 miles for sunday.
So exceprt for the broken trailing arm i had fun!
