05 fusion was acting up today when riding in deep powder. Temps were -20c. It seems to be running very rich and pulled out plug and were very black. There is still top end power but the idle to mid range is horrible. Please help me.
ultra9300
put new plugs in it

The 05's had TPS issues that would cause those symptoms.
hartattack27

Did you get the fuel level float update. A friend's filter was full of black crap and his injectors needed to be replaced. Let us know what you find out.

did you see the check engine light flashing? I had exact symptoms as you when my EGT went out, Check engine light will flash 5-times when the engine is=over 2,000 rpm for more than 4 minutes. (trail ride)

It was puking and farting, would not idle, but was better up top. Stunk to high heaven too!

Sound familiar?

So for what purpose is the light coming on because it does ride over 2000rpm for 4 mins. Does this mean you can't trail ride this.. odd

Your intake may be full of snow/iced up. I had the same problem in powder when it was cold. the intake has terrible sealing around the headlight, etc. mine was FULL. had to spend 35 minutes chipping and digging snow and ice out just to get the sled to run. would die at stop signs, and burned nearly twice the fuel i usually do. simple problem, but i missed it thinking the worst for half the day. of course, by now it may have melted and is gone. check your airbox for water and debris.

Make sure your oil lever is returning, mine would not come back past half way, it would foul plugs and run terrible unless it was almost WOT had to get it running on a stand to clear it out to start to ride, found the oil lever arm stuck open I put a return spring on it and it has been running great.
