A couple friends and myself are looking to buy a place in Caribou, Maine, as a place for us to snowmobile from. In the past, we have driven to Canada, but we're looking to buy a place in the states as a starting point.
I am trying to find out what the overall snowmobiling picture is like in this area of Maine. We'd likely be going into Canada frequently; is crossig the border a problem?
How long is the season in this area of Maine?
Thanks for any insight.

I had truck trouble while stayin in Caribou last year. Took the truck to a service station right beside the Crown Park Inn. The guy there said he had a couple of places for sale and they sounded cheap. Not sure what his name was but he owned the place (Auto service shop) The season can run from the first of Dec to the mid of April. Realisticly it is from the end of Dec to the end of March. Course we all know that can change with no notice. Good luck
