I had just purchased a 2002 Mountain Cat EFI ill be driving along and go to hit the throttle and it just makes a sputtering noise so i let off the throttle and hit it again and it will take off. It does not do it all the time just every once and awhile so i unhooked the throttle sensor and now it works good. And before while it was doing this sometimes when im going at a lower rpm and let off the throttle and want a fast throttle response it seems like it just wants to die? I checked the spark plugs and it seems like there is a black powder on the top of the plug seems like it is arking under the spark plug cap? the caps a tight to. What can i do to fix this problem.

idk...but what it sounds like to me is you just gotta re-cut the wires...take the plug off then just re cut them you dont need to cut alot maybe dont even need to cut them just strip little bit of rubber off then put the plug back on and see what it does then..if that makes sense :cn:
