I have heard that there is something that you can do to the airbox on the 02 sleds to improve perfromance. Does anyone know what I can do. It it getting close to riding and I have to make sure I have all the advantages!! HAHA

Unless you've got engine/exhaust mods don't bother. If anything you will lose performance on a stock motor with airbox mods.

Put the slp kit in it and flow the exhaust A difference will be felt!

Do you know what the SLP kit is called?? i_need_snow.gif

Like said above, leave the box alone if the pipe is stock

Polaris Guy,

The most bang for your buck would be to start with studding the track then a clutch kit. Once you are hooked up for traction, then tangle with the motor if you want. Jetting, boost bottle, exhaust, airbox, etc.

Just my opinion...

I have 144 Gold Digger Studs and no problem hooking up. I have also a Heal CLicker Clutch Kit, Delta 3 V-Vorce Reads, performance can, and thats about it. No aftermarket Pipes, that is why I wondering what is the difference is in updating air box, and how you do it!! Thanks for the help.

If your 700 is a 2002, leave the airbox alone. The '02s were the strongest 700s Polaris ever produced. In 2003 they got a new airbox, carb calibration, and timing offset, and they haven't run as well since.

Clutch it and be happy :beerchug:
