Does anyone know if the PERC Reverse kits can be retrofit to sleds prior to 2003? If not what is different and can it be modified to make it fit?

Can't seem to find any info on the topic.

I was told the ignition stator was different and wouldn't work you would also need a different oil pump.

You'd need the 03 PERC kit along with an '03+ flywheel and an 03+ starter pawl. Stator is the same. New oil pump comes with the kit.

I was told the kit would work on an '02 ? Except for the chain tensioner needed gusseted (sp?) for strength. Evidently, if you get on it too hard in reverse it would break the tensioner. Not sure which part of the tensioner.

Heard this from the guy I bought my kit from ... he sells a bunch of the kits on ebay (works for a Poo dealer).

This is just what I was told ... I don't know first hand.
