I have a chance to buy an 05 600 classic, are these sleds good and what should I look for as problem areas?? I need to know quick as I could miss out, also how much do they go for not sure miles but it looks in good shape

Absolutely GREAT Trail Cruising Sled!

The 600 VES motor is bullet proof and a rocket.

The Classic gets you an M-10 rear suspension which is second to none for trail cruising over Saturday afternoon junk.

Classic comes standard with electric start and mirrors. Also has electronic reverse.

Only downside would be if you are a real racey type. The M10 gives up some of the hole shot and some top end speed.

Could this sled be set up to to come close to topend speeds with 700's?

I ride with 700 yamy's so don't really want to be left behind to far.

If you are worried about top end speeds and run lakes all the time - then the Classic is probably not for you.

If your buddies are running SXr 700s then you will be fine. If you expect to run with well set up SRXs - you won't.

With the M10 set up properly (with a loose track) and good conditions it will probably run mid 90s. M10 costs you the hole shot and about 3-5 mph on top end.

The 600 VES makes about 115 hp.

If you are riding a 98 XCR 700 in the Aggressive chassis - The Edge is a WHOLE different world!!!

What if I put my 700 motor in that edge chassis and the 600 in the aggressive chassis and sell it lol.....

When I said "Whole different World" I meant WAY BETTER - not worse! If you spent anytime on the Classic and then went back to your Aggressive chassis sled it would be like throwing your leg over an old Skidoo TNT!! In any spot other than straight line speed the Edge is superior.
