We got some snow the other day and i didnt feel like bring my sled over my friends house so we used his 1995 440 xcr liquid, i was shocked to see how fast it was, it seemed about as fast as my z570 but the thing starts to die out around 50 for hard pulling, and my z570 starts to around 65 my guess would be that these 2 would stay with one another to around 55 what do you guys think, BTW I have 76 studs.

I used to have xcr440 95 and it will pull past the cat 570 in a drag, It used to beat stock xlt specials (long suspensionb ones). I miss that sled wish I still had it just to bum around on.

If I remember correctly the 440 had about 85 horse power and the xlt had 93hp

wow you serious no wonder his sled felt a tad bit faster than mine, is his clutch messed up or is it suppose to kick in around 5500-6k?

Depending on the clutch set-up, but 5500 rpm engage was ideal for the 440 to perform best. Hot seat black primary (130/300), white secondary spring#2, HSP34 helix(50/34), and V weights worked real well.

was this one of there racing sleds or is this just a nice 440? because for 1995 i would think that this thing would be fast.
