Anyone have a water pump belt for a 78 srx440? Do you know where I can find one? We are on pace for 16 inches of snow here in illinois, and the belt I bought from a guy online sent me one way too big. I have a backup polaris but its a dog compared to my ole faithful 440. If you have the old belt, go to napa and match it up.
I wonder if one of those adjustable link belts would work on a high rpm application like that. I'd be willing to bet it would work fine but a little expensive.

you can still get this belt form Yamaha but they are expensive. yamaha used this same belt up till the mid 90's on many sleds.
many places have aftermarket belts for the 440 srx's too.
i got one from Dennis Kirk a couple of years ago for i believe $10. if you can find one, best buy 2 of them.

that would be a god send if napa had a cogged belt the same width and length
