I had a ZR 700 rebuilt and am not sure how to check the oil pump drive gear
The shaft is spring loaded and it holds the gear out from meshing in the water pump gear.
I have 1 shim(1mm) on the drive gear but it still is not meshing enough. If there are too many shims that will put too much load on the small ball bearing.

Any info. will help
