Big boss man
A friend of mine was telling me about a company making a wide front end kit for the Fusion. That would help out with some of our turning problems. Can't remember the name of the company will have to find out.

Ebay has a kit , wonder if it's the one your thinking of?

" This is a brand new widening kit for 2005 Fusions & 2005 RMKs, comes with all parts necessary, upper and lower a-arms, spindles, sway bar, and tie rods. Also all these parts are the same pieces on the 05 900 Fusion."

The above quote is from the E-Bay auction on the "widening" kit. Seems to me that these are stock 05 Fusion 900 front suspension parts............ dunno.gif If installed on an RMK, they would then widen the front end. Installed on a Fusion, you end up with the same ski width......

I'm assuming it widens both.

Do the math, here.

A stock Fusion is wider than a stock IQ RMK front end.

putting stock Fusion parts on an IQ RMK will make it wider.

putting stock Fusion parts on a Fusion will leave it the same.

I talked to the guy who is selling the kit on ebay. He said the kit is made by Polaris. It will not help us Fusion owners :banghead:

Lol, gotta love it, for me it's ncs 1990 sealer, stuff smells like cow shit!

Its supposed to be a 45" wide front.
ExcursionPSD
That would be an illegal front end in Wisconsin and some other states. The legal limit since the summer of 1994 has been 48" overall width. Since most skis are over 3" wide, it would exceed the maximum.
XCBobT
plus, good luck getting another sled next to it on a trailer
ejcamaro
I have 3 sleds in Wisconsin with wide kits and have never been bothered once. Each their own I guess. She'd really corner FLAT!!
Gettin2Old
I agree with Excursion, Wisconsin does have a max-width law, but I have never seen a warden measure the front of a sled!

I would be willing to bet that half the people in enforcement are not even aware of this law.

Maybe if you ran over the guys foot he would get upset, but on the other hand if a DNR geek has a hard-on for ya, he will cite you for everything he can.
