I have a 06 m7 153 and live at 8000. All of my riding is at least that elevation or higher. I just got the weights for 9000 and above but have not installed them yet, I will let you know the difference with the new weights, but so far the clutching has worked fine. Also if anyone has experience replacing these weights any tips on this job would be appreciated as i am tackling this myself.

Ok let me know
As for changeing the weights it should be pretty easy on the m sled seeing how you can take the sidepanels off. Unbolt the outside of the clutch do it slow because it has a lot of spring tension on it. loosen set screws and pull out pins replace weights and do in reverse order. But putting the outside of the clutch back on can be kind of a bear. I use the wooden part of a hammer and push in with my belly and try to tighten the bolts with the other to hands. I am sure there is an easyer way. I have just done it on my f cat a couple of times and after the first couple it gets pretty easy to do.

When doing it on the sled make two little wedges out of wood that you can shove into where the weights go. Pry the clutch shut and slip two of the wedges in, leaving an open hole so you can change out that weight. Just rotate the wedges. Its easy.

Blue bear thanks for the tips, very helpfull. Test rodee with the new weights today and had a hard time getting a feel because i am breaking in a new belt too. But my first reaction is to switch back to stock setup.
Gonna give it more time though. Will update when I get some real time on the new weights.

The clutch doesnt engage until 4000 rpm's now. Seems to just be running higher rpm and not getting up and going as well as before.
