Yeah  , thats where I lived my whole life, but right now I'm going to school in Calgary. It's an outdoorsman's paradise, theres about 150 lakes in the area, LOTS OF FISHING! Lots of quading because most of the lakes are remote. Most of the sledders can be found on Lac La Biche Lake (one of the biggest lakes in Alberta) and on Beaver Lake (5 km southeast of town). Right now they have almost a foot of snow, so this year has been good. I live on beaver lake, and it is really nice in the summer, with the beach's and good fishing. You definetely won't have a hard time to find anywhere to take your "fast" boat, because there are many other fast boats to race on Beaver Lake. The housing market in Lac La Biche has soared and the price of land also. These guys have lots of rental units if you need: www.dynastyproperties.net.

PS: 1st of march there is a "festival of speed" on Lac La Biche Lake which has car ice races and on the Sunday there are sled drags. Heres the town website: www.townllb.com
Any other questions, feel free to pm me :div20: .

thanks man, iwill ckeck all of that out for sure and thank it is all good to know. sounds like a good place to move, fun all year. do they get a lot of snow every year, or is it hit and miss? if i move out we will have to hook up for a ride. how many trails are there? hows the grooming out there too? :div20: :beerchug:

Well unfortunitely there isn't a snowmobile club in town, so there aren't any groomed trails in Lac La Biche. These towns have groomed trails: Athabasca (50 mins away, 500 km of groomed trails), St-Paul (1hr 15 mins, 110km of groomed trails), Bonnyville (1hr 20mins, 300km of groomed trails) and Cold Lake (1hr 30mins, 60km of groomed trails and they have the lake of course. I haven't rode at any of those towns. We ride mostly lakes, cutlines, ditches and powerline routes.
If you move to town, you won't have to load up your sleds if you want to sled Lac La Biche or Beaver Lake, but you will for the other lakes in the area. The average snowfall is supposed to be 124cm (4ft), as of right now we have almost a foot  . We have always had consistant snow, but the last 2 yrs there wasn't much all over Alberta.
Hope this helps.
Josh

You should check out the area on google earth, just to see how many lakes are in the area.
