We got about an 8-10 inch dump yesterday, so I got a chance to put on about 50 miles on my '06 FST Classic. :beerchug:
1. The biggest improvement was the recalibration/update on the rear suspension (thanks to SNOWBEELER's suggestion). Now I know why all the hype was put on the M-10 in the past. That sled rides like a 'cadillac'. I'd suggest strongly if anyone that owns an '06 FST Classic and wants to improve the ride immensely to go back in this forum and do what was suggested on the rear suspension. Both front and rear suspension shocks were recalibrated, the heavy bushing was installed (220# rider), and I raised the limiter strap one hole. I also removed the dual runners and went with a single 8" carbide. Of course there are no groomed trails to check this set up on now so I won't know how the complete package works until then.

2. The update on the engine/ECU changed a few things.
I didn't see the normal big black soot spot where the sled had been sitting when idling. The temperature had risen 8-10 degrees from what it ran last year. 154 last year, 162 now. I really couldn't tell if there was more power but there definitely is no lack of it. She hauls the mail. We had our 600HO out last night too and the FST kicks the 600's butt.

I'm hoping this is just the start of our snow for this year so we can get some major riding time in this year.
Polaris shorted me over a month of riding time last year with the delay in production and with the updates that needed to be done during the riding season. I'm confident that this year will be better. :div20:

Steel, glad to hear you got a ride in. :div20: We may get the same system here this weekend. As far as the M-10 setup, you will be even more impressed when you ride on packed or groomed trails. Here is the thread on revalve specs. Folks, its not too late. Get them buggers off and get em revalved. :frech32:

In my first post on this subject I reported that my '06 FST really performed with the updates. But now after riding a couple of hundred miles, it doesn't have the rpm's it did last March. I easily pulled over 8000 rpm's last year but now the best is 7850 and then it settles back at 7600. It sure won't break the century mark anymore. I've checked the track, clutches and anything obvious. I loosened the track some but no change. I contacted my dealer and we're going to check it out.

Anyone else having this problem since the updates?

I wish I could tell you - still no snow here
flash 700
I had this problem last year with both of ours. They would hit 7000 rpm's and 70 mph exactly and stay there. Both machines. Last weekend we took them out after the updates and although we couldn''t go full out both machines hit 7800 rpm's and 76 mph so there going faster then they did at the end of last season.

I wonder if some of the lines (sensing) that are being reported chaffed in other threads are the cause. This scars me. I wish all that have been reported were in 1 thread. I just dont have the time right now to find them, or I would do it myself.
