Checked with my dealer today...absolutely no word on my CF 1000 yet. Not too panicked yet as we still have no snow...but it is going to happen any day now. I'm am going to be royally pissed if it does and I have to sit back and watch.
Anyways, dealer is onside as he has the same sled in stock and said if we get any snow he will switch it up for me. Even brought it from his main shop to our local one...just in case. Props to dealer.
I had a sno-check arrive on Nov 17th before...and I rode it home that year. Looks like this one is gonna be pushing well into December...as I am probably the farthest shipping point East of Europe.
Not sure what to make of the fact that this isn't even that much of a shock. I am losing more and more respect for AC every year...
Oh well, lets get the last sled lottery going for 2007...I think I finished second in 2004.
Cheers.

Well, I'm still waiting for my Crossfire 8 SP. I supposed to be on a priority ship list, and a "Hot Load". Whatever that means. I have even heard my sled is sitting there waiting to be shipped, but still nothing. I have snow in the forecast, for this entire weekend. Don't know how much, but it's just a matter of time before we get dumped on up here. Time for the lake effect machine to get cranked up. Hope it gets here soon.

I'm in the same boat waiting for my xfire 800 sp. My dealer has informed me that cat is still waiting for the primary clutches. They will be working overtime to get the sleds ready for shipment by Friday 12/1/06. The problem is when are they actually going to ship, no promises from Cat. Could be as late as Christmas????
So my dealer (Northeast Ag) called the regional Arctic Cat Rep and a xfire 800 sp sled will be at there shop by Friday 12/1/06.
I felt like I was in a catch 22.
I was very appreciative for the concern and there persistance on getting a sled but on the other hand, I don't want a early build sled. They guaranteed it wasn't an early build. It was just delivered to another dealer as inventory.
What I can't understand is why is Cat sending out inventory sleds when people who spring ordered and paid a deposit are still waiting.
Is there any differance between a inventory sled and a pre season ordered sled?????

I just got back from my dealer. They said "Arctic Cat just got the clutches in", so they will be getting installed and then crated and shipped. My dealer has also been waiting for a new clutch for another sled, which just came in today. They think it's the same clutch. They checked the parts stuff and the original clutch in the CF8's has been replaced with a new clutch already. So the CF8SP they have on their floor has the old clutch in it. So yes the "Inventory Sleds" will be different than the ones we are waiting for. My dealers have offered me the one on the floor a couple of times, but I keep saying I want the one I ordered. Theory is, I'm getting a better sled...but I don't know that for certain.

kinda in the same boat........waiting for my spring order. Originally delivery date was first of Nov....but not in yet. Have a trip to WY sheduled for Dec 9th......but nothing to ride yet. I imagine it will come in soon, then be sitting there without a clutch! LOL
Another peev.......I wanted to order this sled with alt clutch already in it since I"ll be riding out west mostly.....but dealer says not an option? wtf......I mean, you mean any sled shipped and sold in the west is expected to put a diff clutch in it? I think not.....
Waiting........

hoping he takes care of me with clutching stuff......says dealer rep is suggesting a weight/spring change and keeping the factory helix.
I was thinking the idea of a spring order and providing a deposit was to help manufactuers get an idea on production numbers and aid in fall deliveries. I'm hearing many sleds are getting shipped, but without the clutches. Attention Cat: It is winter in many parts of the world......not like I just ordered this on wim two weeks ago! lol Hoping that the assembly on all these rushed sleds out the door as of late are good.
Thanks for the vent! LOL

Happened to me last year.
Found out they were making a late production run of Green, so I decided to wait (in September). By end of November , with snow on the ground, I was starting to get nervous. Sled (CF7) was shipped before Xmas, & as my luck would have it, got caught up in a milk run across northern Ontario. I did not pick it up until January....... In hindsight, it was worth the wait!!!!!
Bought my CF8 standard (Green again) right off the showroom floor, could not resist the deal, & reverse is so sweet!!!!!!!

Well 12+ inches of snow forecast for tomorrow and still absolutely no word on my sled. Told dealer today to uncrate the XF1000 he has in stock unless he can give me a firm date. Also told him if the snow shows I will be in for something to ride on tomorrow...he already has my trade-in.
I gotta say that Arctic Cat really likes to abuse the brand loyalty card. If the current trend of sled sales continues around my parts they will soon be shut out of the game all together. You figure if they KNOW that they have sleds sold they could produce them the minute the orders are placed. Frig, my order was placed in while there was STILL snow on the ground last year!! I really question the brains behind the operation at AC. Polaris is a dead issue and I fear AC ain't too far behind.
Sorry, the SNOWFALL WARNING flashing in front of my eyes has me a little fired up. Anyways, I guess the old saying applies fool me once shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me...
Cheers...

Woooohoooo....
So, I just got back from my dealer. They had my VIN number for me. Looks like it was loaded on Nov. 30th. And they seem to think it might even come in today. Sometime this week at any rate. And with the 6-8 inches we got here, just a few more to go, and it'll be time to ride. I'll post some pics when I get it home.
I kinda feel like this guy right now... :fluffy:

I caved...couldn't hold out any longer, winter is in full force here and NO word on sno-check. Finally, told dealer to ante up with in stock sled as promised. Watched them pull it out of the crate and start setting it up tonight, should have it by tomorrow.
Good thing they had an in stock sled as they are not common around these parts...good luck to the rest of you waiting on Sno-checks. Dealer admitted that they have NO idea when it would have actually showed up, Cat would not give them info!!
Anyways, should be ripping on my CF1000 tomorrow night...
Props to dealer, Arctic Cat....BITE ME!!!!
If someone could give me the right person to write/contact at AC i would send them a pretty nasty letter.
Cheers...

I did the same thing with a xfire 800 sp, but the my dealer took it from another local dealer, I'll pick it up Friday12/8/06. Anyway should be hitting the fields this weekend and hopefully the trails the following weekend.
As for the delivery delay Arctic Cat isn't the only manufacturer not delivering sleds. Ski-doo and Polaris have delays too. I think Yamaha is the only one on time? So I don't feel all that bad and still think each manufacturer should be held accountable for delay. Its only fair.....
