Nothing but rain here on the Iron Range, 70 miles west of you...Super slippery roads this morning to puddles by 10 am and rain all day. Can you imagine how much snow would have fallen if it was colder, I bet a foot or more seeing how much rain we got

I live in the falls and there is only an inch or less. The storm made nothing but slush/rain/sleet. We had a few dustings after that and thats about it... Looks like a few clipper systems are about to move through though!

No bashing intended but, looking at your pictures and noticed that the backer plates seem to be upside down?

i feel ya man...i couldnt take it any more and rode my sled today on the lake...6'' of ice and 1'' of snow...was about 4''-8'' along the rushes...so i rode in that for about 20 min to get my fix.

Myself, Firered834, Jeff, and Hank rode about 3 1/2 hours today on Stewart Lake and Little Twin Lake. I got 2 tanks of shitty gas from the Two Harbors Citgo which almost ruined my day, so avoid that place or your sleds may not run.
By the way, none of those studs pulled out or pushed through and the little 500 now lifts the ski's off the ground for about 50 feet. :div20:

I have a friend that has a cabin up by island lake and he said there isent much up there at all. it seems like from behind two harbors and up the shore there is the most snow. finland and gunflint trail are getting a good start!

There is about 6" of light fluffy snow in International Falls. the kids have been flying up and down the trails already. Grooming
should partly begin if we get another 4-6"! The cold temps have produced enough ice to ride on the lakes but I wouldn't recommend it, still way to many dangerous spots. Some people are already ice fishing on lake of the woods tho

. This will be my 1st year as a groomer operator for the local club so if anyone wants updated trail info just PM or email me :div20:
