My Opinion....Never mind the link...
I like to slide but hooking up is faster, safer and better for the trails. Here is my response on another thread.....
Care to elaborate on Mod?
I think a sled with that kind of horsepower needs a minimum of 144. Woodys recommends 1.325. I studded a track ONCE with the "recommened" stud length. That year we did not get snow until the lakes were completely frozen. I could not hook that sled up at all on the ice. After I put about 50 miles on running back and forth on the ice I pulled every stud. Replaced them with one over the recommended size and got the max. penetration of 3/8". Very much worth it. Night and day difference. Ran fantastic in the trails with a good carbide and a little extra front ski spring pressure. Spent probably six hours doing it and I would do it again.
I just put 144 Woody's 1.450's with the tall nuts in my ProX 136". They are exactly 3/8" over the lug. I put 96 studs in double backers and 48 singles all up the middle. First track I have ever not put studs in the outside. I think with the 136" it will still hook and not slide around corners.
A tad aggressive on the hieght but I like to stop and hook.
