I just bought my first ski it's a 99 Indy 500 Trail Touring fan cool with about 4200 mi on it new track and crank with less then 300 mi on them. Are these reliable sleds and what can I expect for speed, weigh 190lbs. The guy I bought it from is real picky about service and had it gone through every year including having the cluch pulled and cleaned as well as the carbs pulled and cleaned every year. What would be a safe jetting for me the coldest I would be running in is about 0 to -10F and below 1000 ft. Any advise you could give me on this ski would be apriciated I am new to these I run water toys(1 boat and 2 jet skis) and need to learn about running on the frozen stuff. Thanks

They are pretty reliable, dont expect any eye shattering speed, but they are pretty bulletproof. Good that that work has been done, hopefully you'll have an awesome winter. :div20:

If you know for sure you have the stock jets. I would go down 2 sizes on the mains, 1 size on the pilots and call it good. The older polaris sleds came jetted really rich from the factory.
