I have the chance to pick up a 1992 Indy 650 for a good price. Just wondering if they are any good. I have heard that the wedge platform is heavy and doesn't handle well. Is there any way to wake up the motor? I know there rated at like 100 hp. Or should i just pass it up?

Everyone and there brother has had one of those. I had a 92 RXL. I don’t think you will need to wake up the motor, they go pretty good. They don’t have the suspension of the newer sleds but I thought they handled good.

The only bad thing I can say is that sled is getting old. The motor might be tired, the bearing might be bad. Make sure you look it over really good. :div20:

It certainly isn't as heavy as the new sleds, depending on the year, about 485-498 LB's.

I'd part it out and buy a newer sled.
