Hey all
I just picked up a 2002 zr600efi and was wondering what you guys have had yours up to on the lake and what the opinion is as to wheather or not I can beat my friends 04 f5. My sled is picked with 144 and has a clutch kit in it and soon to be( tomorow) a pipe.
Thanks

with the c-kit you should be able to pull the F5...Ive had my xc 600 above 100 gps and ran outa room....you might be able to squeek 105 on perfect conditions

Nothing beats F5s btw

I have had mine over 100mph speedo(dream meter)
Most likely 96-97 real speed
they are a fun sled but no speed demon IMO

My 98 carb 600 could bearly break 100 on the speedo stock.
put slp twin pipes and bored the carbs and she realy flew past 100.
Ahhhhhhh thats better. but my ears hurt now.
sold it. the zrt 800 can beat it at half throttle up to 70 and than I have to squease a little harder.

High 90's on radar, not very likely to break 100 unless your very light on glare ice..R2R

My 2002 zl 600 ss efi, 1" track, 144 mega bites w/ clutching has seen 98.9MPH on the GPS, speedo was buried approximately 1/2" past the 100 MPH mark. This was a lake run, 6" hardpack snow on top of the ice.
As for running the F5, My 06 F5 standard all stock, no studs, will walk my ZL in the 1000', with my ZL6 suspension set up fast woods trails and riders close in weight. After that the ZL6 slowly walks the F5, from 80 MPH up.

Thanks for the reponses boys. The F5 I hope to beat is ridden by an inexperienced rider who only has an S&S silencer. I figure on the twistys hes mine I was just hoping to keep up if not beat him on the lake.

Yeah, it'll go not quite 100, unless it has some work done to it, like gearing and some clutch tweeks. :beerchug:

it depends
my 98 zl5 carb says 105 on the dream-o-meter 96GPS
I just got on the lake when there was no snow just enough crust where i could turn and just held it wide open down the whole length of it
