I Have a Summit 1000 2005 with NO STARTER... I'm wondering how the 1000's start after a cold night out ...Should I get a starter or wil it need to be pulled started anyway...

What are your experiences with the mach Z..

Thanks,
RASH

I added electric start to mine just for this reason. A trick that helped was before you pull start, manually roll the primary a few times to loosen things up.

it shouldent be a problem where its sdi my dad has a starter but last year when it was -25 celcius in the morning he pulled it over to see how hard it would be and third pull she started right up first two pulls the sdi just did its work.

place a car warmer close to the engine if you can for a hour or so, it's hard to get it spinning over fast enough for the amount of fuel the computer is dumping in, if you don't get it started within a couple of pulls it will foul the plugs.
