with reference to the stack height # 16

book states I need to measure this and add shims as required to get the correct height..

the oil pump I have has "#17" bushing is less than acceptable for me so I need to order one and probably some additional shims "#16"

the shims I can get are .15 a .3 and a .6

what is the typical XCR oilpump Stack height in this area.. has anyone seen anything different in heights or are they all the same??

and what is the stack height and shims order?? that is typical of the XCR Oil pump??

Rodger,
My 2001 XCR 800 had a .006" & a .023" shim in it.

I had the same question last year when I rebuilt 3 XLT Engines, No one had an answer, This is what I determined by measuring 2 "Unadulterated" Motors. The Total Factory "Slop" was .011 on one .013 on the other. A Motor that was "Messed With By Others" with before had .018.

It's much easier to measure with Feeler Gages when the Case is split, as I have done. Good Luck!
