So I have had my new FX in the garage for over a month waiting for snow. My dealer put mine together early by accident thinking it was another customer's machine. So I took delivery.
I told myself I was going to let them assemble a few others before taking delivery, in case there were any issues. Well, I think I found the first issue.
Every picture I see of the FX, there is very minimal gap between the headlight and the windshield. Mine has about 2 inches! Then I noticed that there is a cross bar on the windshield mount. Mine is on top, but most pictures show it on the bottom. So my mount is upside down.
I asked the dealer, but of course they take no issue and say they are setting up all of them with the gap. I know it is BS and they just don't want to help me out.
I have tried every 5mm hex driver, but cannot turn the screws. I am sure they used plenty of Loc-tite to keep it from vibrating loose. I just keep turning hex wrenches off. Would heat help to loosen them up? How have you guys gotten your loose, that have taken them off?
The biggest reason that this 2" is giving me is the fact that I have a covered trailer with gull-wing doors. It just misses the door when the trailer is tilted. 2" would make a huge difference and less the chance of hitting it.
I should just take it to the dealer and have them deal with it.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
