How about Grooming the trail every 3 hours from Pitts. to Rangeley right at the intersection at Bosebuck that trail for 5 miles SUCKS every year not just during the Snodeo either. I ride that trail all the time, I head over to Bosebucks for gas and food alot because I ride up to the Forks and Jackman from Colebrook alot so that would be a big thying on snodeo weekend dedicate a groomer to that section of trail, I purposely stay away from the snodeo because of that section of 5' whoops just my .02

So...you want to bring in NH people for the Rangely Snodeo...how about sitting down to the table with the reps from NH and talk about re-instating reciprocity...I for one, used to frequent a lot of the towns and their resturants, gas stations and hotels/motels when free crossing the border was allowed...used to like to stay at The Town and Lake. I also used to meet a lot of Maine snowmobiliers on our side of the border too!
So...in my eyes...all the businesses on both sides of the border were the loosers when someone in the Maine Legislature came up with that brain child!

What I really mean to say is both sides should urge their State Legislators to come to some kind of agreement and help the small business people from both sides out! And us snowmobiliers!

I used to love Maine...The Way it Should Be!

i agree 100% with this post
93northbound
build some jumps on the lake by plowing the snow up...then fence it off and leave a strop on the mound so it doesn't catch anyone by surprise at night.......I was thinking a small snow cross course would be awsome.
keep the groomers running during the day....have a rider that stays in front of the groomer to slow oncoming traffic dwn on the corners and blind spots... the guy on the sled should have a yellow light flashing on the sled too......makes it a lot safer

oh and chicks!

now this would be great.... :brrrr: yay2.gif

maybe those that actually attend could give koobsgirl some ideas and not turn this into a reciprocity bash session

I dont think it is bashing, the truth hurts, the trail between Bosebuck and the N.H.
border hasnt been groomed for at least a few years. I feel Maine could do alot more as
far as their trail system is concerned. I could never understand why they never
developed any groomed trails in the Wilson Mills, Magallaway, Richardson Lake area,
its beautiful country, endless miles of wood roads, and absolutely no groomed trails!!!

thats the way us booney bashers like it ... you gotta earn your way to the remote spots.....i think p-burg sucks with its maze of big and little trails... to each their own though....... wanna compare trail system size state to state? i think not !!! :smilielol:

Idlewild isn't comparing state to state, he commenting on that small area of Maine thats between popular areas: Pittsburg, Rangely, Rumford. You do'nt have to get so defensive here. :frech32: :tease:

i'm not defensive..... its the way it is for a reason.........actually it would take days to groom all the way over there from rangeley, unless bosebuck went into the grooming buisness to go towards wilsons mills etc
barncat
hell i love the whooped up sections of trail between rangeley and p'burg :div20: but then again i ride a sno pro sled and the suck on the w.f.o. groomed stuff. i didn't even mind riding the mug at daddy's ridge last year. it really separated the H.C.S. from the rest of the riders........ :cn: i could go for some bosebuck beef stew right now,
Sno-ProF5
have some cool venders selling shit people care about

racing stuff is always cool

like radar runs and stuff for the trail guys rather than the pro ice racer types

if u run classes u will get more lower cc's sleds

see if you can get the whole town involved and have social events in town at night

antique showing is boring antique racing is awsome

kitty kat (120) racing is always fun to watch too

maybe some freestyle stuff

maybe do like a custom sled show to show off ur ride

some 1 on 1 heads up drag racing (trail sleds no race sleds)

i have not been to the rangeley snodeo since we rented a house in rangeley on russell cove during the winter of 2002-2003, so i am not sure if things have changed or not. i do recall things, events being kind of spread out - i.e. the radar run, demo rides, obstable course, etc. i thought at the time it would be nice to be able to ride over to one spot, get off the sled, and walk around to see different vendors, demo rides, radar runs, food, etc. the other thing i recall was that your head had to be on a constant swivel as there were sleds flying around that part of the lake (between the beach and russell cove/radar run) criss-crossing every which way. i would like to have seen maybe a speed limit or some sort of safety enforcement just for that one day in that area. just my 2 cents. i do greatly enjoy going to the coleman sno-deo every year and i like that set-up very much. good luck this year! :div20:

Hey asshole how about it is not groomed and has not been groomed for years, I ride it every weekend and hope to see you on it. Crybaby huh, you would be crying trying to chase me thorugh the section your talking about tough guy. You can pick on anyone you want on this site BUT be careful who you throw stones at becasue WE are not all 18 year old 120 lb pussys BUB. And if you ride that trail all the time (17 years) we are gonna cross paths in about 25 days so use your head.

I second that beefstew

As for the whoops we like riding whoops also but when it is 5-10 miles long and you wanna do a 300-400 mile day it kills your body and time

How about go to SDR snodeo and get some ideas, theres is kick ass

No Mainecat I am not but go through there an awful lot. I used to be one of the Bosebuck Nov, early Dec riders too but not anymore.

So I get a little heated once and awhile, I just cant stand people who call people names or start shit on the internet.
