I posted this in the Formula section, maybe I'll get more exposure here.

I bought a reverse kit from a forum member here, I'm not sure if I got all the parts I need. When I pulled mine apart to install the new parts, something doesn't look right. My current bottom gear (44t) is held on by an external c-clip over the splined shaft. The new bottom gear (from reverse equiped case), looks as though it was retained with a bolt threaded into the center of the shaft. There was a large spring and what looks like a spring pocket included in the bag-o-parts I got as a complete kit. This new bottom gear(also 44t) is not splined, but has a splined collar that fits over my shaft.

Am I suposed to try and get a c-clip inside this collar?

Or do I need the driven shaft that came on the reverse equiped sled?
