I will pass some info along to all PA with ccw permit. You are NOT allowed to carry a loaded firearm on a snowmobile or ATV in PA. Even if you have a ccw. You can carry it UN loaded only.

Did you find this info in the firearm laws, snowmobiling laws/rules, or learn from personal experience? I've considered carrying when by myself, but never have.

Firearm laws. You can carry un loaded with no problem. Go to you local state representative and pickup a copy of laws relating to firearms, free. It is nice to have around.

Can you post the exact wording? I was under the impression it was only post office, court houses, and airports as far as state/federal land that ccw was restricted. Never heard the state parks. What if you're riding on private ground?

go to pa dcnr website for info on state parks. The way i take the law is you can only have a ccw in your car only. Now for snowmobile and atv law. 75PA.C.S.7727 section. No person shall: operate or ride in any snowmobile or atv with any bow and arrows or with any firearm in his possession unless it is unstrung or unloaded. You can carry it, it must be unloaded only.
They just passed a law now that you can carry a ccw, when you are bow hunting. This will take effect 02/01/07 You need a ccw permit to do so.

I think that if you read the ccw laws, it would tell you exactly where you're not allowed to carry, and that would preceed the other laws.
