my friends looking for the rear skid front shock
his is blown beyond repair
its a 2002 xc 800 sp edge
any idea on the specs or if one off a 03 pro-x 440 would work
any ideas on a cheap solution
maybe it was from jumping too much???
he needs a seat cover too on a side note

haha thanks Matt....Any info would be appreciated this sled went to my gf and i would like her to have an enjoyable season, trouble free.....and yes i do need a seat too. I think it might have been the flat landing on this one that did her in. Thanks in advance

Sorry, don't have a front rail shock for you, but. Just wondering what blown beyond repair means?
Whats all wrong with it?
Is it a fox or ryde fx?

the shock over extended and pulled the threads out of the body
and the seal pulled out and the shock filled with water
and bottomed out a few too many time destroying the bumped on the bottom

How did you manage to do that? There is a limiter strap there to keep the shock from
overextending....or was/is that missing?

the limiter straps looked good in factory holes... as far as i can tell
sled was bought used maybe there not original or damage incured prior to purches and then repaired

Check out Deycore.com and call the number, they sell revalved/recharged shocks for relatively cheap. They have been the ones that always do my shocks. The guy is great and he guarantees his valving, so if its not what you had expected, he will revalve it for free until it is how you would like it.
