IF you did not receive your Crossfire 1000 in the first build. You will not be taking deliver until after Dec 5th. I just talked to my dealer. Cat was not going to confirm the reason for the hold up. It sounds like a clutch update. God give me patience, but hurry up. Should the old Crossfire 7 Sno Pro.

Your thought about the clutch update being a hold up makes a lot of sense. I just bought an 06 CF7 and the clutch pins were all rusted as was a roller on the spider. I personally think the makeup of the steel itself was the issue but who knows. In any case, my replacement clutch still hasn't shown up -- the arrival date was pushed back. I'm also told it's an updated part number. I'm hearing that they will be available after Nov. 27th. I sure hope so.

Cat told my dealer, almost 2 weeks ago, that they were bulding mine on 11/03 and It should be at the dealer around the 17th. If I don't hear from them by next Wednesday I'm going to ask my dealer to call Cat again and see whats going on.

I know my CF8 SP, keeps getting pushed back. I was told it would be here at the end of October. Then it was November 6th. Then my dealer called cat and they said production on the CF8's would be ending on November 9th. I had my dealer call Cat again this past Monday (I'm such a pain in the ass), they said production had ended on the 9th, but still don't know when it's coming. It wasn't so bad before, but now we've been getting some snow here in the U.P., this is my first brand new sled and I'm getting pretty excited. I just can't stop thinking about that sled. Anyway, I hope it get's here soon. I hope you guy's get your's too. Happy riding, when they finally get here. :banghead:

If mine comes in after trails open, Ill be fucken pissed and never buy another Cat again.
And if people start saying its better to wait in order to eliminate call backs, thats Cats fault and should have had all this taken care of before they sold the sleds. Theres gonna be call backs anyway, so wtf....
And if its cause there suppliers can't deliver.....then Cat should hold them accountable and make them pay.
Just like the construction industry there should be a delay clause. If you don't get your product (sled) before a certain date then they pay you so much money per day.....That would put a shit load of pressure to get the product out and on time.

My CF8SP came in yesterday. I'll be picking it up today. What I found out was...mine was held up because of the clutch. When they checked on the computer parts thing from Cat mine already has a different clutch number than the one they have sitting on the show room floor. So they decided to change the clutch for some reason, then the clutch manufacturer had to spit a bunch out in a hurry. Once they got there they put the new clutches on and crated them up. I'm not sure if the 1000's are the same clutch or not. But I don't think they should be much longer now.
That's all I really know.
Good luck, I hope you get them soon.
P.S. I took my 8 for a little ride, I can't believe the power even on my first little ride. I can't even imagine how those 1000's are going to be. Better find some way reinforce how your arms are attached to your body.

Allright I don't believe this bullshit and it better not be true, but here's a quote from Arctic Chat's Crossfire forum.
"talked with my dealer today, and you wouldn't believe what he told me. he received a fax from arcticcat saying that all X-fire 1000 that he had ordered in the last moth and a half, would not be delievered and that those orders would be cancelled. the reason they gave him for this was that the demand is greater than the supply. they have none left, what the hell?"
I've got money down on my Xfire1000SP and sold my 800 Polaris. If they cancel my order Cat better come up with $4000.00, not to mention the windshield, rear gear bag, orange ski hooks, precover, cover, D&D Y-Pipe, bullseyes, new jacket, and I just ordered a boondocker and BMP stealth pipe Monday. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

I just got word today from my dealer that they are FINALLY sending me my Crossfire 500 that I ordered in mid-October. I was told it would arrive with in a month. Then I was told on or around December 1st. I heard they finally shipped it, to be delivered on December 11th or 12th. This was after I expressed displeasure, politely, with the dealer, who probably passed it on to the HQ. I is a good thing we haven't been hit with big-time snow here already, or I would have gotten very irratated!

As it turns out, my first trip wasn't planned until around Christmas anyway. It just bothers me they are taking so long after they said it would take very long. :banghead:

Mine still hasn't arrived at the dealer, so I took one outa stock last weekend. I'll coment on the ride after I break her in and put some real miles on. So far its the smoothest, quietest sled I've ever road.
Good Luck and hope you get the sled soon.....

Well, I finally picked my sled up today (December 16th). I see the clutch has a December 2nd stamp date on it. Therefore, it would seem logical it could have been the cause of the delay. I would like to think that, as my sled will be one of the last 2007s likely to be built, maybe they got it right. You know, with a minimum of glitches and nothing to recall it for, so I can just enjoy riding it....IF we EVER get some real snow!
