dunno.gif What oil goes in the case sump and is it recommended to flush first? dunno.gif
Mort
When I changed mine on the exact same sled, I drained it, pulled the cover, rinsed it down with some wd-40 and a small stiff brush. Then I wiped it all down with some rags. ssembled it back together, and refilled it with some good quality gear oil. I think I used Valvoline, I dont remember the weight, 75w or 80w.

9 to 11 ounce of synthetic chaincase oil. The HYVO chain has very tight tolerances, and If the oil is too thick, it will not lubricate it properly.
On the EDGE 02
+1 to the above. I always use the polaris synthetic in my Edge.

Do not use gear oil,(75-90 wt.) Hyvo gears and chain require synthetic chaincase oil, use OEM Polaris, it's the best for your application.
