If you live in Oak Grove attend the planning commision meeting at 7:00 p.m. Thurs. night Nov. 16, 2006. A small # of residents want restrictions put on individuals riding dirt bikes on their own pivate property. As we all know if this is passed it will not single out just dirt bikes it will incorperate all recreational vehicles. If you want to show support attent the meeting. This is the last meeting before the planning commision presents their decision to the city council. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Wow.I can't say I am surprised.

I grew up in Oak Grove,Now live next door"Andover".

We had our own MotoCross track on our property. This was like 20 years ago.
And even then we had neighbors complaining.

I plan on riding my sled from my house through Oak Grove to get over to Lake George. So let's keep are fingers crossed.

Do you have to reside in Oak Grove to attend????I would assume so.

I would say you could attend to here what they say. They do not have a sign in to attend the meeting. Althrough if you want to stand up and speak about the issue you have to state your address prior to speaking to the commitee.

Sherburne County already has a tough ordinance for dirt bikes.

A buddy of mine lives in Oak Grove and had his R/C track shut down because of pricky neighbors mad because he had a couple races at his track for us to have fun at on weekends, kind of like people get Pissed off when someone starts to enjoy them selves and won't stop until everyone in life is as miserable as they are
Sledneck141
we have the same problem where i live. we're just out trying to ride a bit, not to piss anyone off and we got people yelling at us, calling the cops, fish cops harrassing us. arrgh!!!! it pisses me off!!!

the killer part about it is that more than 3/4 of the people that bitch don't even live down here. only down in the summer. stupid nodakers!!!

BTW, I've noticed that most of these fukkin pricks are either old retired people (not all of them are bad!!) with nothing better to do than cut their grass and bitch at kids for having fun or the power trip kind of people that think they own the place when in fact they are from out of state and have no right to even say anything to us. go back to your own damn state and leave us alone!!

as for the R.C. track being shut down it the same pain in the ass broad who's pushing the dirt bike ordinance. Nothing better to do but f with other people's enjoyment.

Here we go ....This is what I know about it I was informed by someone who was there . The meeting was more of a way to find out the level of importance it was . The pannel at the table may not have been well informed at all , but this did educate them in some way . This was more aimed at the ones who have a track on 1-2 acers and they are ridding from sun up to sun down every weekend . And along with that , the ones who do not use common sense when ridding . Just like sledding there are the ones who mess it up for the rest of us . Piss off land owners and loose trails . There seem to be talk of a group that wanted to take on the responsibilties of policing the prolems too . In other words take control and correct the ones who wonder to preserve what we currently have . Hopefully they will be able to keep this from getting in the hands of non-recreactional people so we don't loose it . Good Luck. there may have been more but lunch is over so I gotta go.............

Interesting. I have friends who live just north of Lake George on 221st and I often ride my dirtbike on their land and sled there. If we end up not being able to ride from there or along 221st or lake george blvd I would be pissed! They have some OK trails around there.
