Hey guys just got my sled yesterday, looks sweet, just curious how many studs you think i should run on it, mind you i do mostly trail rides and i only use them for saftey reasons, the odd lake run, but thats about it, i have i believe the 1 inch track. I usually ran 96 studs in my 500's in the past, i was thinking 120 in this, or 144 better? Keep in mind i will be doing probably 80% trail riding and 20% lakes, im more leaning to 120 but figured i'd get some advice from you guys! grinning-smiley-023.gif

just studded my friends and did 96 up the middle. My 600HO fusion has 96 up the middle also just enough for that hill ice covered to make it up. (don't forget your tunnel protectors) cool sled   :fluffy: :div20:
Spiderman

Hm yea, 144 is the most id go heh, just not 100% i think i might try 120 and see how it goes, i got the 1 inch track, shoulda got the ripsaw but oh well, i just bought the sled to ride, i have an xcr 8 for lake racing grinning-smiley-023.gif

What else needs to be done to stud these sleds? Do you have to change drivers or is it a simple add studs and tunnel protectors and you are done?

Go 96 and put them in the entire track. There are a lot of people over in the Fusion forum that say 96 down the middle is useless. You lose a ton of traction going down the middle only. If you truely only use them for safety than 48 would be sufficient, 120 and 144 is too much for this sled and unnecessary in my opinion.

I just posted this pic before and because i got off my lazy ass and went in the garage to take the picture ,im gonna post it again

I ran 144 in my Pro X 600 and it was perfect, i'm a firm believer more is better than less. I've never ran anything less on any sled than 144. Really, it depends on what you're riding style is and what you're looking for, but I like the instant hook up, amazing braking and cornering, mind you i'm not a heavy guy either so I don't have the big body weight to help with this.
Seguin Interceptor
I studded my cousin's 600 HO for him. 144 down the middle using 48 double backers and 48 single backers. 1" track, 1.075" studs. Really nice setup on that machine.
Gabes
I plan on going with 144 with 72 double backers and power towers, all up the middle on a 1.250 track. I was wondering who's running the 1.325 or the 1.450 woody's? I would rather run the 1.450's but was wondering if there is any clearance problems with that? I know Woody's suggests the 1.325 but I don't like the ammount of pennetration.

I might just end up running the Stud boy 1.375's. dunno.gif
Spiderman
I have purchased 144 1.325 Woodys which haven't been installed yet, but thats what i'm going to be running with the 1.25 ripsaw
Exploder
My 600 IQ CFI.

1.25" Ripsaw, 96 1.375" with double backers.

My brother has 96 down the middle on his Fusion and it rips :div20:
