just picked up a spare sled. I want to keep it close to stock but is there any obvious things that should be done to this sled?
It has a 141" x 2" track which is a minimum for our mountains. That seems to be the only done to it so far. I am planning to change the seat + gas tank to an edge set-up. This is just for appearance and the fact that the seat has rips. ANything else?
Anyone have a good clutching + gearing set-up? I am guessing a 99 600 RMK set-up would be a good place to start.

For gearing, run 18/41, as you run only mountains, and want it to climb the best right? For clutching, almond primary, or dk. blue/white if mostly powder riding, 10-56, silver/blue, and a hot seat HSP52/34S helix. Make sure the primary sheave clearance is no more than .020". Change the needles to R1371G if they have not been already, for high altitude you will likely need to run them in #2 clip, and may have to go up on the pilots 2 sizes or so.

thanks pockets. This is a spare sled so it won't be doing any climbing. It is in semi-retirement. Probably just be a rough trail sled with the occasional romp through trees and powder. If anything, I plan on abusing it in some snowy forest rides. Anything more extreme and we are all on our primary sleds.
Is your set-up still applicable?

It will work, just the gearing may be a bit low. 18/40, or 19/40. 18/41 will be 80 on the speedo max. That is also for 6000 feet, otherwise you need heavier weights.
