m2c.gif Gut the air box, 330 mains, V-force reeds, BM black/orange spring, BM-54 weights, green cat driven spring, 60/50 helix, Grind the helix or run an aftermarket roller cover on a tall secondary to shift the clutch all the way out. 20/39 gears. The 800 will always beat the 600 in a 1000ft but after that the triple should start reeling that twin back in and pass it in a long lake run..

add pipes. or like said above, big bore, you will fly!

Dude, if your seriously looking to up the power you should pipe and clutch it. Personally I dont think it will keep up with the 800 even if you do that because of the weight issue. 99 didnt have the power valves either, that made a huge difference when they did that in 01. I had a 97 and a 2001. I now have a zr 800 Pipes will definitly help... a lot.

How do i figure out what the BM black/orange spring, BM-54 weights are for in a cheeper company??

Had a 96 zrt BM pipes and triple can shaved heads .015 and removes half of the steel gasket , full mod ported cylinders, and flowed to gaskets, cut the piston skirt support on the intake side of cylinder and reshaped, v-force 3 , No air box, run only KN filters on all my sleds. 44 gram weights purple blk spring,62/52 helix, red spring center hole.9200rpm that thing would hold on to my uncles 1000 for about 600ft.About 155hp with flat slides

when you say K&N filters w/ no airbox.. did you just use 3 K&N cone filters, one off each carb?

:div20: The spring is 162/315 and the weights are 54 gram with a notch. You can use polaris 10-54 weights but you need to grind the heel and run a 1/4 inch drill bit through the bushing. You also need more engagement pressure from the spring like a D&D green. Because the polaris weights aren't notched and the ZRT likes a higher engagment. I just suggested the BM stuff because its more user friendly.

Why does it have to be a polaris cam
Can't a notched AC cam work the same?
I am just unsure about gettin parts from BM
i dont really live any were close enough to get BM parts. unless my dealer sells them. I usually takes 5 weeks to get any parts from the states for me.

That is correct one filter per carb with pre-filters
