I guess there was a change in design in 98...Does anyone know which one is the best to convert over to my pro x?

not sure of the year, they changed, but the difference was short or long tower, you want short ,the newer style, just because it needs less room to get it off the jack shaft, the long tower you had to yank the belly pan out for cleareance to get it off

as i think about it i do believe it was 98, go 98 or newer,

used on on my gen 2,

Thanks man there was a pre 98 on ebay with the AAEN upgrades and was outbid...still went for 120 shipped. It would have been the long tower though, but man what a good deal!

Prior to 98 the secondary was not a roller type. In 98 they went to rollers. Yes it is wider than the 97 but you don't have to move the belly pan to install/remove it.

Just open the sheaves and push a belt into the sheave to keep it from closing. This will give the clearence needed to install/remove it.
