I really wanted a white one, but they only come on the gt I dont want a gt, i really wanted an fx but i can get that in white either so I'm gonna save some cash and just get the regular one i think, maybe i can find some white panels who knows?

I like the Blue and White on Jimmy's Phazers. I can see that next year, as a Jimmy Blaze LTD. Phazer

That is a awesome looking color setup, and I see he mounted his gauge pod on the light cover, thats the same place I mounted mine. :div20:

Do you have any close up pictures of how you mounted your gages? How did you do it, or is there anything you would have done different?
Thanks for sharing.

I will get pic's posted after the weekend. I used all the exsisting hardware, grommets and screw, just instead of that bracket matched the holes onto the plastic cover and put it on. Tightens up well, and doesn't seem to vibrate or shake, is also still visible wether your standing or sitting.

I agree with the lack of color options for any sled. I feel that you should be able to order it from the factory the way you want it to look/performance addons. I know it would cost more but it would be a great idea.

How do you get that black piece off, so you can drill the holes for the "hood" mount
gauges? I could start diggin into it, but I'd rather not randomly pulling incorrect pieces off.

Nevermind... it pops off from the rear...
BTW what a great mod, first new sled, I haven't even seen snow yet
and I'm modding it.. .but this was a given...
Some tips for those attempting this mod.(most of the tips will make sense once you look at things)
Measure Measure Measure, I was lucky enough to not make any major mistakes.
- I drew a template with paper, under the original bracket
- The holes for the posts I cut with 1/2" drill Spade/Paddle bit. One cause it was the closest size I had
to the bracket hole size, and two the pilot tip, ensures a centered hole(it wont walk)
- I didn't have to make the holes any bigger than the 1/2" the rubber grommets fit right in, and makes
for a much more secure snug fit.
-Cutting for the wiring, this is done freehand, and you have to allow for the rubber boot to fit snugly in the hole,
this takes time.
Roughly the job took about 1 hour, once I figured out how to get the panel off..
-BTW when pulling the panel off be careful, the rubber gromets will pull out.. then you have to remove
them from the posts, and reinstall them below.
Big Kudo's to Yammi for using reusable ZIP ties to contain the wires on the steering post. A++
