I m thinking on getting my heat shield coated. I m pretty sure it will have to be ceramic since when my buddy did powder coat on his heat shield it turned colors. That was about 5 yrs ago and I read on here they have powder coat that can with stand higher temps. Anyone know if they have different colors of ceramic coat? Also since ceramic is an insulator do you think it would hurt performance by holding too much heat in the pipe. However these sleds do like a hot pipe. Any info would be appreciated.

Thought about that. I was just looking for a different under hood look. Maybe if the shield was red or something with some red plug wires. Maybe ill just coat the whole thing leave the shield off my slp single ceramic looked cool.

Powder coat won't hold up to the heat- use ceramic. I wouldn't worry about the pipe getting too hot.

I was told that it work well on the fusion 600 HO's because they lose a lot of heat off the pipe and thats why they have the low end problem thats what i have been told.
