Would someone refresh my memory? I can't find my notes and must have deleted my pm's from pockets last fall. What will an almond/blue feel like compared to the almond/red in my primary. Sled feels great to 80 w/ almond/red but dies off hard. Might try the almond/blue I have in the box but want to know a little beforehand. Running the typical setup beyond the primary that everyone seems to be running (64's or 66's (just got home from the bar (sorry)), black/red secondary, and geared down (24/41?) I would sound a lot more intelligent had I looked at my setup before posting. Thanks!

the alm blue, will give you a lower engagement 150lbs compared te 165lbs in there now, also slightly lower crusing rpm going the same speed with both, there both 310 finishes
probably 64s in there, takes a GOOD[not stock] running 700 to pull 66s for all round riding and not be lazy

almond red and blue will both give the same top end. i loved my almond red. run 64's on a stock 700. i ran 66 with SLP pipe.
i also loved a Black team spring. felt alot snappier

If the sled is dying off hard on top, you're not going to solve it with a primary spring change. It's got to be something else. What helix are you running in the secondary?

My gearing is actually 24/42, checked this morning. I know that may be hurting some. Stock helix 62-42-.46.
As for the black spring, are you talking the black/red (7042198)? I think I'm running the red/blue(7043057), but did go to the CCW one.
Sorry to bring up clutching topics on these again, I did a search for the posts from last fall (there were quite a few on the X2's, but came up pretty empty handed. Thanks for the help.

yeah, the black spring is just a replacement for the black/red.
