I just purchased a 2004 pro-x 800. It has an slp air box, a lime green primary( I am guesing EPI but not sure) I have no idea what else is done to it so far. I was just wondering what jetting, clutching, gearing, etc... I should have or put in it. Also it had the temp. gauges and fuel gauges( electronic) does anyone know where I can get the replacement plug to cover the hole in.
Thanks

Congrats on the purchase. You'll love the Pro-X. For jetting I would say start at 450 mains with needle in middle clip. Fuel screws 1.75 turns out. Sorry can't help you out on clutching and gearing. For the plugs to cover the hole in the dash, I'd buy Flowrites to give your motor a little more air. http://www.startinglineproducts.com/catalo...p;productID=356

Congrats on the new sled. I run an Almound blue in the primary with 66gram weights. Also I run 420 mains but that is a little on the danger side. Changing gearing to 24-41 soon as the parts come in. I run a button secondary so I'm no help there.
I still have a little inconsistency pulling the rpm's on mine, but I think that is due to riding with my daughter on most of the time(extra 110lbs).
We love both our pro-x's and will probably keep them for a while.
You might be able to pull more weight than me in primary, start 2 grams over stock and progress up.

If you can see it in the picture, my daughter is sitting in front of me.

I have taken it apart now and have found that it is geared to 24/ 41 I believe. I have also talked to the last guy that owned it and he said he sent it away and got it done professionally. Also he has an slp pipe, slp can, and an slp head for it. Does anyone have this setup and if so what is it like???
