I am going to get most of my front and rear suspension components powdercoated on my '01 800 XCR. My question for you guys is if powdercoat will hold up on springs for the shocks and the torsion springs on the rear suspension? I know it is a thicker paint and I didn't know if it would crack or not? Also will I run into any clearance issues if I get my suspension components powdercoated including my rear slide rails because of the extra thick paint?

Thanks for the help!

I just did my rails on my edge.. costly for what I had done..

2 x rails, 3 x head covers, 2 x water tubes, Tunnel extension. $280.00

No Bolt Hole issue.. everything aligned niceley, I had the bogy wheel axle area masked off.. as well as other key areas that you don't want coated such as any threaded areas..

Again Prep is the what gona make hold up . I had Springs Powder Coated years back and the don't have a chip or a scrap on them..

I can't say for what I have now.. as to the longevity.. but we will see..

I also have not put my hyfax on yet so I can't say as to how they will go on yet.. but I have some silicon lube spray to help them slide on JIK

If you are using the old Xtra-10 rails you could have a problem with the slot in the rail for the hyfax that is a tight fit to begin with. Rogers is an edge.

springs won't be a problem, they are powder coated from factory.
