hey all, interested to see if anyone on here is from long island. im out east in calverton/riverhead and see a good amount of guys riding when the flakes fly. unfortunatly i will be sledless this winter due to the redicoulous cost of car insurance for a 17 year old, but i will be at all the local restaurants on my quad for sure. think snow!!

I actually am bringing my sleds to my dealer on Wed. Guess where? ATE Connecticut. The Arctic Dealer here are rude and dont really give a crap about you. So I will take the Orient Ferry up to ATE in CT. So far, they have been very easy to deal with.

wow thats crazy, i know exactly who you are now. how've yah been?
i was so close to getting myself a sled for this winter but the car insurance was just alittle more important.
i wasnt going to be able to travel much anyway so for the local storms, the quad will make do.
are you planning on riding during long island storms or just out of state?
i'm sure we will cross paths one time or another, ill be sure to give you a wave if i reconize you
take care,
eric

I plan on doing alot of riding at Old Forge with my long time friend Snowman. :frech32: Lets set up some trips when there is not enough snow around here. When there is snow, my neighbor has a group of about 30 guys that headout from our area in Baiting Hollow.

my buddy from wading river also rides up at old forge with a bunch of people. you don't know how bad i wish i had a sled sitting in the garage waiting for the flakes to fly. i got myself another job so im really hoping i can pick something up for myself next year. snow storms are my favorite time of year and im sick of being stuck to the roads with my quad. have fun this year guys, i hope we get a nice and snowy winter and if you see a kid cruising around the roads on a black quad, shoot a wave, im a fellow sledder at heart.
rgnbull-from what i see in the avatar, your firecat is hot looking!! i gotta see that beast in action. you'll have to let me know what its like riding sleds around town, seems like there is a ton of riding when there snow.

We should exchange contact info and plan a trip to Old Forge. When the snow flies here on Long Island, we should meet up and do some riding. There are alot of snowmobiles down here.

I was born on Long Island, lived in Bellport and spent most of my youth on Fire Island where my dad was a ranger, in 1981 my folks dropped a bomb and informed us we were moving to Alaska! Best move ever, been here for 26 years and its the best place in the world bar none, grew up riding and commercial fishing, spent 10 years crabbing in the Bering now its the home life kids etc but the riding is spectacular, I ride with some pro freestylers, riding in mid june in a t-shirt can't be beat! we are just about to kick off our season, should be good for 6-7 months. Happy Thanksgiving. :beerchug:

I have to agree, we just had a full week of incredible snow around the southcentral area, feet in places. Tuesday will actually be my first ride, have to break in the renegade. Keep your eyes pealed for a rider at the X-games named Dane Ferguson one to watch for sure. You Tube daneferg and be ready to be very impressed. Merry Christmas and happy Holidays from Alaska :celebrating:
