I am a Vermont snowmobilier (since 1968) who has had the great pleasure of also enjoying the sport of snowmobiling throughout Quebec since 1984 and exclusively in Quebec since 1996. :div20: Recently I became aware of an organization which I feel all Quebec riders should be aware of and consider supporting. The Association des motoneigistes du Quebec (AdmdQ) Quebec Snowmobilers Association in English is a non profit organization whose mission is to provide a unified voice for all snowmobilers of the province of Quebec and to promote, preserve and protect the practice of snowmobiling. .
The AdmdQ also actively defends the concerns of snowmobiliers when special interest groups or individuals threaten the future of our uniquely beautiful activity.
In addition to this important mission, the association also tries to create and offer additional benefits to its’ members. One exceptional benefit is that a membership in the AdmdQ includes membership in the “Air Medic” air ambulance service. The Air Medic membership can be purchased directly through Air Medic at $25 per year for an individual but is included in the annual $10 AdmdQ membership. All active members of the AdmdQ (Quebecers or not) are covered by the service of Air Medic air ambulance while snowmobiling anywhere in Quebec. As you know, much of Quebec’s trail system is located in exceptionally beautiful but often remote and difficult to access areas. Access to this time saving medical service could truly be life saving. Even if you go to Quebec once per season I think that this benefit alone is a deal plus the AdmdQ helps to ensure the future of our sport in Quebec.
To become an active member of AdmdQ, is to unite in numbers to protect our beautiful winter activity! The AdmdQ has recently begun to translate their web site into English to invite more of Quebec’s snowmobile community to participate in their mission and enjoy the benefits.
Keep in mind that correct French does not translate directly into correct English.
Anyone who wishes to learn more about the AdmdQ or the Air Medic program can find additional information at the following links.
http://www.admdq.org/bienvenue.htmlhttp://www.admdq.org/welcome.htmlhttp://www.airmedic.net/If you happen to open to the French version of the AdmdQ you can go to the bottom to find the English section button. Joining the AdmdQ is “pay pal” push a button easy ($10 Can, US exchange rate reflected on your credit card) and your membership card and Air Medic access stickers will be mailed to your address.
Sorry for the lengthy post but it seemed like the best way to give exposure to what I believe to be a worthy organization with a huge safety bonus to those of us fortunate to ride Quebec
PS. There is no financial benefit to me for passing this opportunity on.

I went through the PayPal process and paid but then after that i got sent to a registration page. I filled everything out and the form kept erroring on stuff that i couldn't read

I translated to english and then resubmitted everything and then the page went away....Not sure if i just threw away $10 or not but we'll see if i get the card and information. I'm sure the site is legit it's just that i'm dumb when it comes to French language. Not their fault, mine. :frech32:

Great job guys, it was about time to bring the mission of the Association of Quebec Snomobiliers (AdmdQ) back to the top. :beerchug:
If any of our fellow HCS's ride Quebec, the AdmdQ is an important voice in preserving the future of our sport. I see many of the same issues which have and continue to negativly impact our sport here in the States beginning to adversly effect snowmobiling in Quebec as well. Land closures, special interest, government, we need to be proactive and be a part of a unified voice. Check out their site, more pages in English everyday. It's about $9.50 US for 2007 membership and still includes the airmedic emergency service. All with a few clicks through pay pal but you do not need a pay pal account. :div20:
If you decide to become a member, drop in a post

My membership arrived quickly. Figured why not? $10 for a voice that supports our sport is a no brainer, plus you've got help if you get into serious trouble out on the trail.

No politics for me, just a guy that lives to sled and wants to do what he can, to do it as long as he can. Quebers do a great job and deserve our support of their efforts. :div20:
Let's keep building the strength of AdmdQ.
http://www.admdq.org/welcome.htmlLast year when the agricultural union was threatening to boycott the opening of trails on their lands, the AdmdQ was instrumental in brokering a solution. Petitions with over 3,000 signatures were presented to the government, pressuring their action in coming up with a solution to the concerns of the farmers. :frech32: The result, an acceptable solution and a successful season.
Did the AdmdQ make this success alone? Maybe, maybe not, But having an established, unified voice of support certainly did not hurt. :fluffy:

I agree 100%, if we do not strengthen the ORG now, we will regret when its too late, and again, for 10$, I think its MORE than reasonable. Even if you never need their voice, just to "belong" to a great org like this.
C'mon fellas member-up and post when you do, keep this thread going on TOP and strong !

I am honored to have been nominated as an ambassador to the AdmdQ. :beerchug: It is certainly logical that we as American fellow snomobiliers assit our Quebec friends in protecting the future of our sport and I am glad to help. :div20: Most of us are not able to offer hands on assistance in trail work but we can easily lend our participation in numbers to them, which will add to the strength, credibility and voice of the Association of Quebec Snowmobiliers.
Snow is coming, get everything ready :fluffy:
