My wife and little girl want a quad so dad who was planning on a new sled has offered to take a year or 2 off from sledding and get a quad. I figured we'd go with a 2up and was thinking either the Can-Am or the Polaris X2,any thoughts would be appreciated.

My buddy had a few problems with the dash on his can-am, and i had a bad gasket on my cvt. But the dash was quickly repaired by the dealer, and the CVT cover came off prety easily all i need to do is go upstate and pick up the gasket then re-install the cover.

Other than the minor problems the outlanders are AMAZING, our 650s ride like cadillacs, go through almost everything(we came upon a clay pit and that stuff got stuck in the treads of the tires and was slick as ice, i doubt any quad could hav emade it through). If you go with the outlander i suggest you get the upgrade package with the better tires, a winch, handguards, and brushgaurds for the lights and taillights. We used our winches to pull ourselves out of the clay pit(i didnt get stuck because i laid back behind my dad and his buddy), but most of all it is useful for pulling others out of mud pits. My dads buddy bought the outlander 650 for his wife but he rides it a lot, and if he brings up friends they end up riding his old 300ex hondas and we have pulled them out a few times with our winches. It's a great quad, wouldn't want to get anythign else.

:beerchug: I"m a Honda guy myself but when it comes to two-up"s I say Cat. It isn"t that I like the Arctic Cats but I"ve seen them outdo the Bombi too many times. :burp:

I too have seen the Cat 2 uppers go thru things that no one else could, I also own a 500 Cat and love it, the ride is beyond any of the others, and more ground clearance than all the others
