Im runnin a 2000 with bearcat clutches--10-64 weights- cat purple primary spring- cat red w/white stripe secondary spring- 58/49 d@d helix- 25/39 gear. runs great backshifts well and has more midrange 50-100 pull than most piped tcats. Hope that helps. :beerchug:

I was told to try a setup very similar to that for non bearcat clutches. Stock gearing though. Doesn't the BC clutches just allow you to run different gearing? What is the difference between the two?

The Bearcats have a larger diameter on both the primary and the secondary. It effectively changes your gearing on the low end, while not effecting shift out. It allows you to run taller gears then you normally would, but still get of the line well.

Any opinions on that setup for a piped tcat? Soft springs and lighter weights,,,,, Is the purple a little too soft for a tcat though?

Yes, perhaps mistaken for someone else's purple primary spring??
