Stripped down the FX tonight to get a better look at her. Quite the pile of parts and plastics I accumulated. Have to take the gas tank off to get to the top of the motor. Made it close but dealer topped me off with fuel so couldn't get that close! :banghead: Here they are! :celebrating: I took these with my phone, sorry that they aren't crystal clear.

Any idea how to connect the wiring for a heated shield?? dunno.gif

I asked my dealer and he couldn't tell me.

I've got heated shield hookup directly to the battery on 2 sleds.

Got any pics of the Cobra? You are a very, very, very lucky man.
eric Phazer485
what are you plans for the sled, high performance parts, or just tinkinging with it??

for a heated shield i would go straight to the battery or mabee to the handle bar warmers so you can switch it on or off.

There is a place for a 12v socket opposite the key hole.
just pop it in there I would suppose.

I just hooked up the heated shield plug on the Phazer. I did it the same as I did last year on the Attak. Find the blue wire coming off the headlight switch on the left handlebar. Splice into it with your power wire and connect your grounding wire to the riser bolt under the handlebar pad. Works like a charm.
