Ok so i have a king cat 900, it has run good for me for 2 years now, its an 04 carb. Usually i start it up every 2 weeks in the summer to let it run, you know make it easy to start come winter. Anyways i went to start it the other day and it started fine, ran for 2-3 mins and quite. i then could not get it to start again. i choked it and pulled and pulled and pulled and it would run after 20 pulls on choke, but only for like 10 seconds. i figured it was acting like it was not gettign fuel. but i have ruled that out. Then i got thinking maybe its not a good idea to start it up regualarly at low idle, i might foil my plugs up. just letting it idle like that. so i changed plugs. no change please help me on this problem. thanks

If you are not getting any/many replies in the Mountain Cat section you could try a thread in the General Arctic Cat forum. Usually a little more action there. :beerchug:

when was the last time you cleaned your carbs? do you usually put fuel stablizer in the tank every spring?

i havent cleaned my carbs since last spring, i dont run any mix, but i only run pump gas. machines almost new and of course it has il enjection. BUT i forgot to add fuel stabalizer last spring... will it make a difference to add it now. or shouldi just remember to do it next time. thanks in advance

Its too late for stabilizer now. But basically we can conclude fuel is not getting to the engine very well. Why else won't it run properly? I would check my gas line for kinks, check the fuel filter, check throttle adjustment on the carbs, and last but not least, take your carbs apart as gas may have gumped up in there over the summer.

And I've done that too over the summer, is run it every couple of weeks, but I would spin the track and really rev it abit. I never had a problem fouling plugs while doing that. But every sled is different I guess
