What benefits do you gain by changing ves springs.I do not have the ajustable ones.I here that there are diff colors,is that spring tension.Thanks

well if ya dont, change springs for an example, you ride at sealevel and you head up into the mountains, and you dont swap the springs for softer spring rate, the valves wouldnt open fully or you replace the valves for the updated stainless valves, they are twice as heavy as your alu ones and you need a diffrent spring, thats why there is diffrent springs...

tage81,what color Are you running?I am at about 1000.ft.I was told to put in green&yellow.What is stock in the 04 proxr800 by the way?Thanks man!

I believe the pink/yellow were stock in the 800's. this is the stiffest they make.
Green/yellow is the next step lighter and come in the 700's
I used the orange/whites that were one step lighter to the green/yellow.
I have tried several combos and liked the lighter ones, seems to rev a little quicker and gives more of the raw on the pipe power feeling as they open quicker instead of the sneaky smooth power. Just my opinion.
The lighter you go the the earlier/faster they open the less mpg you get also.

my stainless valves has green/yellow springs, i dont remember what color i used for the original valves, you should upgrade the valves anyway because they will get stuck and destroy your juggs.. i got my valves on warranty, you could try to get them that way .. :beerchug:
