Hi everyone bought a 03 prox 800 want to take the motor out and clean it up and check the mounts my question is how do I bleed the coolant and oil lines on the reinstall. Thanks to All :banghead:

not sure on the oil, but for the coolent you first put the front of the sled higher than the rear, so just put front up on a milk crate, then dump in as much of the coolest into the bottle as you can to the fill line, then start the sled up. when the sled is running, take a screwdriver and on the thermostat on the top of the motor, open the bleed screw. keep adding coolent into the bottle, (make sure you turn off sled before taking cap off). then when you readd coolent, deep opening the bleed screw until coolent starts coming out. ride the sled a bit or put the back on the stand and rev it and make the track spin, do this for a min or so, shut off sled, and add coolent until it stops taking it.

All Mikuni oil pumps have a bleeder screw. Once you get the engine back in and the oil line installed, just open the bleeder until all air bubbles have stopped. Make sure you put a rag under the pump to avoid messing up your detail job.
