:beerchug: I know everyone says they know how to budget but try this method!

monthly bills X 12 div by 52 = the amount that must go in the bank from your pay. See what you have left over per pay :burp:

:beerchug: I kinda wished I did (jk) We live with that budget and never worry about paying our bills or having to go without. It"s nice to be able to say it"s only another $30 a week I think I"ll go buy a new sled or whatever instead of I don"t know if I can afford it or should I or should"nt I.

But the unexpected bills will still fuck you up. Car repairs home repairs etc.

I don't think there is a foolproof plan. dunno.gif

:beerchug: It is pretty well goof proof. We have every bill covered for the entire year this way. For example the insurance for everything is around $4000.00 per year. When the policy is due we just send them a cheque for the amount because the money was being put aside on a weekly basis. Our lease where our 5th wheel is and our permits for our sleds and quads is payed once a year and that"s just over $2000.00 which is put aside also. I pay child support which is enough to make you cry and never worry about having the money. I dish out $435 per week towards my bills and the other half has her budget # she puts every week. Once you add everything up and get your budget # you"ll see if there is any breathing room or you"ll have to get a part-time job. (jk) Get a pen n paper and start adding it all up. :burp:

spend a few hundred with a financial planner to develop a real plan... it will save you a lot more than that :div20:

:beerchug: Hey Sled dude! We weren"t talking about saving we were talking about managing. I"m surprised you responded to the posts as you obviously didn"t get the gest of any of it. As far as cutting up the North rd your tresspssing and I"d laugh my ass off if the big guy catches you or Peter himself. It"s guys like you that have the number reduced to 100 per day. The unfortunate part is there are too many ways in and out of there and not enough guys patrolling the place. From the sounds of it your a freeloader that doesn"t buy any trail passes and you picked up the coloured tags that were tossed away. You asked us to flame away !

We"ll we"re far from it and by no means having hard times. I was only trying to be helpfull with a little tip that works and I thought I"d pass it on. :burp:

I paid for every tag I have, I'm not a cheap skate, but at the same time... I know guys that pay for the day and put on 300miles. I might put on 20 in there... most I think I've ever put on is about 90mi. So when I rip through there I maybe use 10 miles of their property. If that is worth 35 bucks.. sobeit! but I don't think it is!

So I justify just fine when I spend $140 on a 200miles/year for the forest and $180 for 2800miles/year for the ofsc it just don't add up for me. Also, most of the time I'm coming from the east rd where there is nowhere to buy a pass, do you really expect anybody to buy a permit for $35 after they only ripped down the east rd. to get to redstone? get real!!!! you would have no money if you did that there smokie!!!

not to mention peter is an asshole, and the restaurant sucks balls. They don't know how to make french fries for christ sake...

I've been riding in there for years and I've never had a problem, tags or no tags...

this reminds me of a situation last year... I did come up on a group that I've seen before.. maybe it was you, don't know, but they were locals (I had paid for a pass that day) and I almost ran them over as they had lost all their coors light cans along the trail and some asshole was running around tryin to save his beer!!!

Kennisis lake has become a hangout for lowlifes and those that think the law doesn't apply up there just because you see a cop every 10 years....

Also, there may have never even been a day where there were 100 passes sold. They limit 100 passes because the local season's holders ride their faces off in there. IMO they must be smokin something do ride the same god dam 200miles every day, all winter, every winter - in a circle!!!!!! :frech32: :no_bashing: :smilielol: :tease:

Well, good for you then. Personally, I just pass the bills to the bookeeper and let her worry about it. She pays off my credit cards at the end of each month and try to always pay cash for the big stuff (just like my dad did). Every couple of months I look at the bank statement. Life is too short to worry about money. :beerchug:

:beerchug: First off it wasn"t us or any of our group looking for our beer. Why are you pissed at Peter did he catch you tresspassing or did he boot you out for being a yard ape in basecamp?

I'm not pissed at Peter, I just think he's an asshole because everytime I've talked to him, he's been an asshole. Not a nice guy IMO. & some of the shit he pulled with the haliburton landowners a few years ago.... the guy makes bank off of selling the log homes and eco tourism, calling it a reserve when they log the hell out of the land, but its his so who am I to say anything.

for the record, I've never been "caught" doing anything in there, I'm really never in there long enough to warrant any kind of repremand. When I say 10 miles, its no exageration.

I sleep fine at night spending the amount of $$ I do in the forest. If I feel as though I've used it too much, the next time I go in there I do buy a pass, even if its only for a 20 mile boot, and I feel that $35 I just spent on 20 miles that day should carry me into the next time I run 20miles in there, and the next, and maybe the next... I'm not going to buy a pass for every 10 mile/day run I do, and I know its technically tresspassing, but so is jaywalking...

if you haven't spent much time up there you wouldn't know. That area has changed a lot in the last 5 years. You want stories, I got stories... just like the silver bullet story... very real...

Mark my words, police presence will increase on kennisis lake in the summer and the winter if these idiots keep using it as their own adult playground.

Most poeple respect others, but it doesn't take too many assholes to ruin it for the rest of us...
